Ischia Lido
All the comforts of the beach in central Ischia
People staying in the centre of Ischia will find it very convenient to go for a swim at Ischia’s lido, divided into two zones: the first one on the left is also known as San Pietro beach. This fairly large beach runs alongside Corso Vittoria Colonna and Via Roma and can be accessed via a number of different side streets.
It is a beach suitable for families and those wanting the highest stands of comfort. It has very shallow water and is therefore particularly suitable for children, the elderly and non-swimmers. There are numerous beach clubs and beach restaurants, as well as two free zones, with the largest of these accessed via a side street that leads off Piazza Croce on Via Roma.
Ischia lido then continues towards the right with a central part, on the Lungomare Colombo, characterised by various private beach clubs and characteristic restaurants on stilts. Meanwhile, on the far right is Mandra or Pescatori beach, which offers a beautiful view of the Aragonese Castle. This beach also offers a selection of private beach clubs and small free areas. It has plenty of restaurants and bars. Some of the beach clubs in the area offer disabled access and beach chairs for the disabled.
