The delightful San Francesco beach in Forio
San Francesco bay is in the municipality of Forio, on the western side of the island of Ischia. This beach offers a beautiful view over the skyline of Forio’s historical centre and the Punta Caruso coast, which encloses the eastern side of the beach like a theatrical backdrop.
San Francesco beach is not particularly large, but is still home to numerous beach clubs, two small free beaches and various restaurants and bars. It can be accessed by public bus service, but also on foot from the historical centre of Forio, which takes around twenty minutes.
